Our Services
Hygiene: our dental hygienists provide a full range of hygiene services from routine dental prophylaxis cleanings to deep cleaning of calculus below the gumline. We hear from patients that they have had hygiene experiences at other dental practices where they felt their cleaning could have been more comfortable. We believe your cleaning should be completely pain free. Both of our hygienists are highly praised for their gentleness and their thoroughness!
Cosmetic Dentistry: when front teeth are unattractive, they may be restored by bonding esthetic tooth-colored materials to them. These materials may consist of resin or porcelain. Your smile can be made more beautiful than what nature gave you! Technology has improved greatly in modern ceramics. There are currently restorative veneers that do not require any anesthesia, any tooth reduction (in many cases) and therefore can be removed at any time if needed. When a front tooth is veneered, it is generally restored on the outside (the surface people see when you smile) only. This creates a beautiful healthy smile. Some indications for veneers are: tetracycline staining, cracked or chipped teeth, etc.
Removable Prosthodontics (dentures): we make removable complete and partial dentures using high grade denture teeth and acrylics. Many of our patients like to duplicate in their new denture the appearance of their natural teeth or of a previous denture. The clasps of Many dentists do not enjoy denture cases. Dr. Ferro and the staff love helping patients with dentures and we make sure we dedicate ample time to the fabrication process as well as post-delivery adjustments and patient education. We understand dentures may require many adjustments so we are always happy to see you and there is never a charge for adjustments. We have patients return years later for denture adjustments and it always free. We offer a free denture consultation (cost of radiographs, if needed, is additional).
Fixed Prosthodontics (bridgework): in some cases, teeth can be replaced in a non-removable (permanently in the mouth) fashion. We may place bridgework onto natural teeth or onto dental implants. We may also be able to attach a complete denture onto implants.
Single Tooth Restorations: if a tooth has decay, cracks or is broken it may be fixed with fillings, inlays, onlays, crowns, etc.
Endodontics: sometimes the internal part of the tooth (the pulp) becomes sick and can often cause pain. The pulp can be removed to relive pain and allow the tooth to be restored.
Orthodontics: teeth that are spaced, crowded, crooked, misaligned, unleveled or rotated can be corrected with the use of traditional "braces" or with removable aligners.
Tooth Whitening: we offer two main ways to whiten your teeth. One is whitening trays that you wear once or twice per day for a few weeks, then wear them periodically for maintenance. The second method is the "Zoom" chairside bleaching that you have seen on TV. "Zoom" offers you immediate results, usually of several shades lighter in about an hour. Most patients have the Zoom whitening for instant visible results, then use the trays to enhance and then maintain their new brighter smile!
